01 / The challenge

Shared costs aren’t always shared fairly.

Co-living brings together people with different incomes and financial circumstances. Dividing every cost equally can be simple, but it may not feel equitable. The challenge was to imagine a more considerate way to coordinate everyday expenses and build financial confidence within a household.

This concept was created during the practical selection challenge for BBVA’s Future Designers VI program. The brief and final proposal were developed within 72 hours.

02 / The approach

Make the invisible conversation visible.

The concept begins with a familiar tension: housemates may have different capacities to contribute, but no comfortable way to discuss it. I explored how an experience could help people understand shared costs, agree on contributions and learn together without making money the only thing that defines their community.

03 / The concept

A product, a voice and a sense of belonging.

The proposal combines an app to organize expenses with educational content and a visual identity for the community around it. The product aims to reduce the effort of managing shared money while treating different financial realities with care.
